Radiation Therapist

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments accurately and safely according to the oncologist’s treatment plan.
• Position and immobilize patients correctly to ensure precise radiation delivery while maintaining patient comfort.
• Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, performing routine quality and safety checks in compliance with established protocols.
• Monitor patients during treatment, document procedures, and report any changes in patient condition or treatment-related concerns to the clinical team.
• Educate and support patients by explaining treatment procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring adherence to radiation safety standards.

Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an approved Radiation Therapy Program.

Certification & Licenses:

• NJ State license for Radiation Therapist.
• ARRT.

Note: Non-Taxable Per Diem is also provided to the qualified candidate living more than 50 miles from the facility
