Vascular Technologist – Peripheral Vascular Lab

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform vascular ultrasound evaluations using Doppler and physiologic testing.
• Obtain and review pertinent patient health history prior to examinations.
• Prepare procedure rooms and equipment for daily use and ensure timely room turnover between procedures.
• Write preliminary reports and communicate acute findings to the appropriate care team.
• Troubleshoot and identify equipment issues and report problems to the appropriate supervisor.
• May assist with staff training and education.

Required Education:

• Accredited Associate’s Degree in Sonography, Radiology or a related field OR Completion of a twelve (12) month ultrasound program.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• BLS
• One of the following is required:
  • RDCS certified through ARDMS.
  • RVT certified through ARDMS
  • RCS, ACS and RCCS certified through CCI.

Required Experience:

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience required.
• Dedicated Vascular Technologist experience preferred.
• Strong experience with vascular ultrasound, Doppler, and physiologic testing preferred.
