Job Summary:
- Prepares for and assists physician in all procedures done in the Cardiovascular Lab.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supports the policies and procedures of client and division of patient care services with a special emphasis placed on the needs of the patient undergoing invasive testing in the Cardiac Cath and Electrophysiology Labs.
- Collects, documents, records and calculates pertinent patient data.
- Assist physician with all diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Prepares and instructs patients pre and post procedure. Developing communication skills with all customers internal and external.
- Performs basic radiologic functions including acquiring, processing, and storing digital images, basic equipment troubleshooting and radiation safety. Able to complete Safety Event reports for advanced exposure.
- Under the direct supervision of MD: Synchronous/asynchronous defibrillation; medication preparation including accurate labeling contents within syringes.
- Maintains a clean and orderly patient care environment & sterile field.
- Familiar with basic diagnostic and procedural supplies along with location within the procedure rooms, core room and carts.
- Accurate scanning of Space Trax for supplies.

Required Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist program.
OR - Two (2) years of field experience as an allied Health professional such as CVT, Radiology Tech, Anesthesia Tech, or Paramedic.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS).
