Job Description
Job Summary:
- The Radiology Technologist performs routine and specialized radiographic procedures under the direction of a licensed provider for diagnostic interpretation.
- The role requires strong technical expertise, patient care skills, and the ability to work with pediatric through adult populations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality radiographic procedures with accuracy in positioning and exposure.
- Confirm patient identity and ensure proper documentation before procedures.
- Prepare patients and provide age-appropriate care, including pediatric patients.
- Assess contraindications such as allergies, medical history, and lab results.
- Administer contrast agents as required based on patient condition.
- Operate radiology equipment including PACS, RIS, and imaging systems.
- Maintain inventory and ensure readiness of imaging rooms.
- Provide coverage for Fluoro, X-ray, Portables, ER, and OR.
- Ensure patient safety, confidentiality, and compliance with protocols.
Certification/Degree Requirements:
- ARRT R.T. (R) – Required.
- BLS – Required.
Experience / Top Skills:
- Pediatric experience – Mandatory.
- Strong experience with Fluoro, X-Ray, Portables.
- ER & OR coverage experience required.
- Strong technical skills in radiographic procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiology principles.
- Expertise in pediatric imaging and patient handling.
- Ability to work independently and handle critical situations.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
- Familiarity with imaging systems and troubleshooting equipment.
