Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of technical procedures utilizing diagnostic ultrasound equipment for disease diagnosis.
  • Position, transfer, and immobilize patients as needed for diagnostic procedures.
  • Adjust ultrasound machinery and ancillary equipment to obtain diagnostic medical/legal ultrasound images.
  • Assist in equipment calibration and maintain department standards.
  • Perform high-level probe disinfection.
  • Schedule exams and maintain department records.
  • Assist in quality control programs to maintain prescribed standards.
  • Use independent judgment in planning procedures and minor decision-making in a technical setting.
  • Work directly with patients, healthcare professionals, internal/external customers, and leadership-level individuals.
  • Be available for emergency call back.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in vascular and general ultrasound.
  • Ability to perform basic ultrasound echo and/or peripheral vascular studies.
  • Completion of an accredited Technical Ultrasound Program.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) or ARRT (S) Registry.
  • Vascular Registry.
  • BLS certification.
  • Experience with Diagnostic Ultrasound and Vascular Ultrasound.
  • Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently.

  • Client equipment experience.
  • Client Kesson EMR experience.
