Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients and perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures under provider direction.
  • Ensure patient comfort, safety, and proper radiation protection measures.
  • Accurately perform image acquisition, identification, annotation, and PACS archiving.
  • Communicate clearly with patients, staff, and providers; obtain patient medical history and document in RIS.
  • Support departmental workflow including exam scheduling, supply stocking, and cleanliness.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC workflow including documentation, medication, and supply charges.
  • Mentor students and assist in onboarding new employees.
  • Follow protocols for reporting equipment malfunctions and perform minor troubleshooting.
  • Remain flexible with assignments, including shift rotations and coverage support.

Education:

  • Post high school completion of an ARRT-accredited Radiologic Technology program – Required.
  • 1–2 years of additional college/university coursework or healthcare-related undergraduate degree – Preferred.

Licensure & Certifications:

  • ARRT Registered RT (R) in Diagnostic Radiology – Required.
  • Wisconsin Radiographer License – Required.
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider – Required.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 1 year of current clinical experience OR equivalent clinical student experience.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to stay flexible under changing priorities.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • 1 year of current experience in diagnostic radiology.
