Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients and perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures under provider direction.
- Ensure patient comfort, safety, and proper radiation protection measures.
- Accurately perform image acquisition, identification, annotation, and PACS archiving.
- Communicate clearly with patients, staff, and providers; obtain patient medical history and document in RIS.
- Support departmental workflow including exam scheduling, supply stocking, and cleanliness.
- Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC workflow including documentation, medication, and supply charges.
- Mentor students and assist in onboarding new employees.
- Follow protocols for reporting equipment malfunctions and perform minor troubleshooting.
- Remain flexible with assignments, including shift rotations and coverage support.
Education:
- Post high school completion of an ARRT-accredited Radiologic Technology program – Required.
- 1–2 years of additional college/university coursework or healthcare-related undergraduate degree – Preferred.
Licensure & Certifications:
- ARRT Registered RT (R) in Diagnostic Radiology – Required.
- Wisconsin Radiographer License – Required.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider – Required.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 1 year of current clinical experience OR equivalent clinical student experience.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to stay flexible under changing priorities.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- 1 year of current experience in diagnostic radiology.
