Job Description

Job Summary:

• This position provides examination and test performance on human specimens for purposes of obtaining information for the diagnosis, treatment of monitoring of patients; or for providing information to others who will diagnose and treat patients.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for specimen processing, test performance, and results reporting.
• Performs laboratory analysis and administrative tasks associated with clinical assessment of patients.
• Performs highly complex testing and coordinates teaching of Clinical Laboratory Science and medical students, residents, fellows, and other members of hospital.
• Execute tasks required to maintain accreditation with client, CAP, DCRA, AABB, and FDA.

Requirements:

• One year of Blood Bank experience required.
• Minimum 2 years acute care experience required.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Training in a qualified Medical Technology Program.
• Registration ASCP or Equivalent Board of Registry.
