Surgical Reprocessing Technician

Job Description

Job Summary:

• Responsible for cleaning, inspecting, assembling, sterilizing, and distributing surgical instruments and equipment used throughout the hospital.
• Ensures compliance with sterilization standards and supports surgical teams by preparing instruments, supplies, and case carts for scheduled procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
• Monitor and document sterilization processes.
• Prepare procedure-specific case carts according to surgeon preference cards.
• Maintain inventory levels and manage sterile supplies.
• Support Operating Room, Emergency Department, Labor & Delivery, and other clinical areas.
• Ensure instruments, implants, and supplies are available for scheduled procedures.
• Receive, stock, and rotate inventory according to sterile supply management guidelines.

Requirements:

• BLS Certification.
• Minimum 2 years of Sterile Processing experience.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
