Job Description
Job Summary:
- Under the supervision of a Radiologist, the MRI Technologist performs magnetic resonance imaging procedures on ambulatory and inpatient populations according to physician orders and established protocols.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality MRI procedures in a timely manner following exam protocols.
- Verify patient identity, review history, and ensure correct exam is performed.
- Prepare and position patients appropriately for imaging procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort.
- Adhere to all safety, infection control, and MRI screening policies.
- Maintain imaging equipment and report operational concerns as needed.
- Accurately document imaging records and maintain compliance with departmental standards.
- Ensure proper screening of all individuals entering MRI zones.
Required Certifications:
- MRT.
- ARRT (MR).
- BLS (AHA Only).
Experience Required:
- Minimum 2 years of MRI experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to perform MRI procedures independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong patient communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Commitment to quality imaging and patient care.
