Breast Imaging Manager

Job Description

Job Summary:

• The Manager of Breast Imaging assists the Director in overseeing operations, workflow optimization, staff supervision, and quality improvement initiatives within the Breast Imaging department.
• This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards while maintaining high-quality patient care and operational efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations and workflow efficiency.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, hiring, evaluations, and employee development.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (JCAHO, TDH, and other accrediting bodies).
• Monitor patient satisfaction and implement service improvements.
• Assist with budgeting, productivity monitoring, and cost control.
• Serve as liaison between physicians and departments.
• Lead quality improvement, safety initiatives, and performance projects.
• Maintain imaging competency across all breast imaging modalities.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree.

Required Certifications:

• MRT (Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist).
• ARRT-M (Mammography) or ARRT-R (Radiography).
• BLS (AHA only).

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience.
• Experience with budgeting, compliance, and performance metrics.
• Strong business and operational management knowledge

Strong background in:

• Mammography
• Breast biopsies
• Breast ultrasound
• Bone density.
