Job Description
Job Summary:
- Under the supervision of a Radiologist, the Interventional Radiology Technologist performs high-quality IR procedures on ambulatory and hospitalized patients, following established protocols, safety standards, and sterile techniques.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform IR procedures accurately and efficiently per protocol.
- Prepare and position patients; explain procedures and ensure comfort.
- Maintain sterile technique and adhere to radiation and infection control policies.
- Document patient history, consent, and imaging records accurately.
- Maintain equipment functionality and cleanliness.
- Participate in on-call rotation and emergency response as required.
Certifications and Licenses:
- BLS (AHA only).
- MRT & ARRT certifications.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology / Cath Lab experience.
- Experience with Body (Trauma) and Neuro (Stroke) cases required.
- Epic experience preferred.
- Level I Trauma Center experience preferred.
- VI experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong procedural and technical competency in IR.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Calm, professional demeanor in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent patient communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to precept and support new team members.
