Job Description

Job Summary:

  • Under the supervision of a Radiologist, the Interventional Radiology Technologist performs high-quality IR procedures on ambulatory and hospitalized patients, following established protocols, safety standards, and sterile techniques.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform IR procedures accurately and efficiently per protocol.
  • Prepare and position patients; explain procedures and ensure comfort.
  • Maintain sterile technique and adhere to radiation and infection control policies.
  • Document patient history, consent, and imaging records accurately.
  • Maintain equipment functionality and cleanliness.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and emergency response as required.

Certifications and Licenses:

  • BLS (AHA only).
  • MRT & ARRT certifications.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology / Cath Lab experience.
  • Experience with Body (Trauma) and Neuro (Stroke) cases required.
  • Epic experience preferred.
  • Level I Trauma Center experience preferred.
  • VI experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong procedural and technical competency in IR.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Calm, professional demeanor in high-pressure environments.
  • Excellent patient communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to precept and support new team members.
