Travel: Respiratory Therapist
Job Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Respiratory Therapist (Registered or Certified) to join our healthcare team. The therapist will be responsible for delivering high-quality cardiopulmonary care to both inpatient and outpatient populations. This role includes the administration of respiratory treatments, ventilator management, and assistance with both diagnostic and emergency procedures under physician guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory procedures per physician orders and protocols
- Administer medicated aerosol treatments using medical-grade compressed gases
- Maintain patient airways, including suctioning and intubation when necessary
- Manage mechanical ventilators for acute and chronic respiratory failure
- Perform and analyze arterial blood gas (ABG) samples
- Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures
- Conduct pulmonary function testing, cardiac stress tests, and pulmonary stress testing
- Insert and monitor arterial lines
Minimum Requirements:
- NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) – Required
- Valid Ohio Respiratory Therapy License – Required
- BLS and ACLS Certifications – Must be current and through the American Heart Association
- Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience as a respiratory therapist in a hospital setting
Preferred Experience:
- Strong knowledge of ventilator modes and settings
- Experience with emergency response teams (Code Blue, Rapid Response)
- Comfort with both pediatric and adult patient populations (if applicable)
Shift & Schedule:
- Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
- Rotating weekends and holidays may be required (not specified – confirm with facility)

- Copy of NBRC Certification
- Copy of Ohio RT License
- Current BLS and ACLS (AHA only)
