Radiology Technologist (Travel)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs radiographic procedures as requested by physicians.
• Provides care for patients while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from accredited Radiologic Technology Program required.

Licensure and Certification:

• ARRT and New Mexico State licenses required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) issued through American Heart Association required.

Experience:

• Minimum one year experience required which can be substituted with clinical education experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Thorough knowledge of radiographic imaging equipment, anatomy and physiology, radiographic positioning.
• Thorough knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer skills.

Systems:

• EMR-EPIC.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

• Bloodborne pathogen C.
• Exposure to various body fluids and ionizing radiation.
• Prolonged, extensive or considerate standing and walking.
• Lifts, positions, pushes and or transfers patients and equipment in excess of 50 lbs.
