Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform radiographic procedures in the operating room.
- Prepare and administer contrast media.
- Monitor for adverse reactions and assist with emergency response, including CPR.
- Position patients and obtain high-quality radiographs using proper radiation protection techniques.
- Operate C-Arm, portable X-ray equipment, and other radiology equipment safely.
- Verify patient identity and physician orders before procedures.
- Produce diagnostic images meeting Radiologist and Surgeon expectations.
- Properly identify and document radiographic studies.
- Communicate procedures clearly to patients and address questions or concerns.
- Adhere to Client organizational standards and perform other assigned duties.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- Completion of clinical and A.R.R.T. requirements.
Required Licenses & Certifications:
- ARRT.
- CPR.
- Must possess New Jersey State License.
- BLS.
Required Experience:
- A minimum of Two (2) years of experience as a practicing OR X Ray technologist in a high volume trauma setting.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
- Proficient in use of C-Arm, O-Arm.
- OR Radiology, C-Arm, Portable X-Ray Machines, Radiographic Procedures, Contrast Media Administration, Radiation Protection, Patient Safety, General X-Ray, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Written Communication, Verbal Communication.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.
- High-volume trauma OR experience preferred.
- Proficiency with C-Arm and portable X-ray equipment required.
