X-Ray Technologist

Job Description

Job Summary:

• Under general supervision, the CT Technologist performs computerized tomography (CT) procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation.
• The technologist may also perform general diagnostic radiology examinations and is responsible for ensuring patient safety, following imaging protocols, and performing related duties as assigned.

Required Education:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Must maintain the required hours of continued education.

Required Certification & Licensure: 

• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the advanced registry in Computed Tomography (CT) or registry-eligible.
• Healthcare Provider certification required. (BLS).

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience.

Equipment/ Technology: Client imaging systems, OEC C-Arms, and Carestream Portable X-ray units.
