Job Description
Job Summary:
- Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs diagnostic radiographic procedures to assist in the evaluation and diagnosis of patients.
- Responsible for patient positioning, image acquisition, radiation safety, documentation, and ensuring high-quality imaging services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic radiology procedures according to physician orders and department protocols.
- Ensure proper patient positioning and radiation safety practices.
- Administer contrast media when required and monitor patients for reactions.
- Complete all PACS and RIS documentation accurately.
- Maintain compliance with infection control and patient safety standards.
- Support patient care, education, and departmental operations.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must maintain required continuing education credits.
Certifications & Licensure:
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification required.
- Registry-eligible candidates must obtain ARRT certification within 6 months of hire.
- Current BLS (Healthcare Provider) Certification required.
Required Experience:
- Previous Level I or Level II Trauma experience.
- Prior Operating Room (OR) experience.
Preferred Experience:
- Neuro, Vascular, and C-Arm experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of radiographic procedures and imaging techniques.
- Experience working in trauma and surgical environments.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital setting.
