Job Description
Job Summary:
- Provides MRI imaging services for inpatients and outpatients using 1.5T and 3T Philips Ingenia scanners.
- Works with a tech aide or second technologist (never alone).
- Level 1 trauma experience strongly recommended.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI scans for Neuro (brain, spine, brain perfusion), Body (abdomen, MRCP, kidney, pelvis), and MSK imaging.
- Operate Philips MR 1.5T and 3T Ingenia scanners efficiently.
- Work as a collaborative team member, supporting quality patient-centered care.
- Follow protocols accurately and safely.
- Maintain excellent communication with patients and staff.
Certifications:
- ARRT (MR) OR AMRIT Certified.
Education:
- MRI technologist education (specific state license not required for Maine).
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years MRI experience.
Must-have skills:
- Philips MR experience, Level 1 trauma, ICU/anesthesia patients experience, Neuro, Body, and MSK imaging
Preferred skills:
- Flexible, team-oriented, self-initiator, reliable.
Unit & Patient Info:
- Number of Beds: 650+
- Patient Ratios: 1:1
- EMR: Epic
- Type of Patients: Inpatients at one site, outpatients at all sites
Dress Code:
- Any scrubs except hospital-issued scrubs.
