Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interventional Technologist IV will, in collaboration with the team lead, practice and promote The Best in the Nation Service Behaviors, Strategies and Priorities.
- Responsible for the operation of Angiographic equipment.
- Performs vascular/interventional radiography procedures resulting in quality patient care and radiographic images necessary for diagnosis of disease and/or treatment.
- Selects appropriate imaging techniques and protocols to complete the exam.
- Receives patients, explains method of examination, and positions patient, performs IV puncture, and administers IV contrast agent when indicated.
- Independently performs and completes routine examinations.
- Meet the needs of the patient, family and multi-disciplinary team through effective communication, coordination and documentation ensuring safety, care, courtesy, and efficiency.
- Actively participates in quality initiatives to ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction, highest level of patient care and workflow efficiencies.

- HIS/RIS.
- Telephones and paging devices.
- Computer, printer, fax machine.
- EKG monitors.
- Laser printer.
- StethoProducts, sphygmomanometers.
- Portable Oxygen “E” tanks.
- COR cart.
- Defibrillator.
- Proper handling of “life support” devices and equipment.
- Weekend, holiday, and call schedules are required.
- May be requested to work shift other than normal assigned shift and overtime to accommodate patient needs/volume.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- Must be registered in ARRT(R)(CV/V).
- Valid ARRT (R)(CV/VI) registration.
- Fluoroscopy certification.
- Radiation badges need to be supplied by the vendor.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge of vascular anatomy and skill in recognition of normal and abnormal variants.
- Knowledge of radiation safety.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- 1 year Vascular/interventional imaging experience.
