Job Description

Job Summary:

  • The MRI Technologist performs high-quality MRI examinations on inpatient and outpatient populations under the supervision of a Radiologist.
  • The role involves ensuring patient safety, producing diagnostic-quality images, and delivering exceptional patient care while following established protocols.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI procedures according to department protocols and physician orders.
  • Prepare, position, and educate patients for MRI examinations.
  • Verify patient identity, medical history, and required documentation.
  • Screen patients for MRI safety and contraindications.
  • Ensure patient comfort while maintaining image quality.
  • Maintain MRI equipment and report any operational issues.
  • Follow infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards.
  • Maintain accurate imaging records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare team members.
  • Participate in emergency response and provide first aid when necessary.
  • Assist with training and mentoring new staff as needed.

Requirements:

  • ARRT (MR) Certification.
  • BLS Certification (AHA Only).
  • Minimum 5 years of MRI experience.
  • Level I Trauma experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of MRI safety protocols and patient care.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and image quality.
  • Experience with inpatient and outpatient MRI procedures.
