Job Summary:
- Performs CT imaging procedures under general supervision, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
- May also perform general radiology procedures as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform CT scans and diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Prepare and position patients for examinations.
- Administer IV contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Operate CT equipment and maintain image quality standards.
- Assist radiologists with advanced diagnostic procedures.
- Complete PACS and RIS documentation accurately.
- Follow radiation safety and ALARA guidelines.
- Transport patients to and from the Emergency Department as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Applied Science in Radiology.
- Minimum 1 year of hospital-based CT experience.
- ARRT Certification.
- BLS Certification.
- Peripheral IV insertion experience or willingness to complete training.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and patient care skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in high-volume hospital settings.
- Prior experience with patient transport and emergency department workflows.
