EEG Technologist

Job Description

Required Education:

• High school diploma or its educational equivalent, approved by a State’s Department of Education or a recognized accrediting organization.
• One (1) year of experience as an Electroencephalograph Technician in a hospital or health care setting.
• OR -Satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and experience, where Certificate of Completion from the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) recognized training program.
• OR -Graduate from Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited program may be substituted for one (1) year of experience, as described in #1 above.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• High School Diploma/GED or EEG Certification required.

Required Skills & Experience:

• One (1) year of EEG Technologist experience.
