Job Description

Job Summary:

  • Under general supervision, the CT Technologist performs computerized tomography (CT) imaging procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients.
  • The role may also involve performing general diagnostic radiology exams while ensuring high-quality patient care, safety, and imaging standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform CT imaging procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning during examinations.
  • Operate and maintain CT equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Administer contrast media when appropriate and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Follow radiation safety guidelines and ALARA principles.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • May perform general diagnostic radiology procedures as needed.
  • Adhere to all hospital, state, and federal regulations and standards.

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must maintain all required continuing education credits.

Certification & Licensure Requirements:

  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Advanced Registry in Computed Tomography (CT) or CT Registry-Eligible.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Healthcare Provider level).

Required Experience: 

  • 1 year of minimum experience required.
