Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • At the direction of a radiologist operates computed tomography (CT) and related equipment.
  • Performs CT studies according to specific guidelines, prescribed protocols and utilizing appropriate radiation protection measures.
  • Reviews images; archives with associated patient data.
  • Interacts with imaging personnel, nursing and medical staff, patients and visitors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills Required:

  • Minimum of one year, full time equivalent, clinical experience in Diagnostic Radiology is required.
  • Previous CT experience is preferred.

Education:

  • Post high school completion of an ARRT accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
  • 1-2 years of college/university coursework and/or an undergraduate degree in a healthcare related field is preferred.
  • ARRT registered RT (R) in diagnostic radiology and current State of WI license as a Radiographer is required.
  • Advanced certification in CT required within 18 months of hire/transfer.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within three (3) months of hire.
