Job Description

Job Summary:

• The Ultrasound Technologist performs routine and complex OB/GYN ultrasound imaging procedures in a Maternal Fetal Medicine clinic under the supervision of a Radiologist and MFM specialist.
• The role involves obtaining high-quality diagnostic images to support the assessment and diagnosis of pregnancy-related conditions while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality MFM ultrasound examinations according to established protocols.
• Explain procedures clearly and ensure patients are comfortable during exams.
• Prepare patients and equipment for procedures and ensure proper positioning.
• Maintain patient safety and adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
• Maintain imaging equipment and ensure work areas meet quality standards.
• Verify patient information and maintain accurate imaging records in the system.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to support patient care.

Certification and Experience:

• ARDMS Certification required.
• ARDMS OB/GYN (OB) required.
• BLS (AHA Only) required.
• Fetal Echo (FE) preferred but not required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) ultrasound.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to perform ultrasound exams efficiently and independently.
• Strong patient communication and care skills.
• Ability to maintain accuracy and professionalism in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Knowledge of ultrasound imaging standards, documentation, and patient safety protocols.
