Job Description

Job Summary

• The Registered Respiratory Therapist provides advanced cardiopulmonary care, including oxygen therapy, ventilation support, airway management, and emergency response, ensuring optimal patient outcomes in an acute care setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapies (oxygen, aerosol, ventilators, airway clearance).
• Perform invasive & non-invasive ventilation management.
• Respond to emergency situations including CPR.
• Assess patient condition and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Educate patients on respiratory equipment and therapies.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams for patient care.

Key Skills

• Strong ICU and critical care experience.
• Knowledge of respiratory equipment & therapies.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in high-pressure environments.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.

Certification/Degree Requirements:

• BLS (AHA Only)
• RRT
• RCP

Experience / Top Skills:

• Minimum 2 years of experience.
• ICU experience required.
• Epic experience preferred.
