Job Description

Job Summary:

  • The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs nuclear medicine, PET, and theranostic procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients under the supervision of a Radiologist.
  • The role involves producing high-quality diagnostic images, administering radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring radiation safety, and following established imaging protocols.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures including planar, SPECT, and SPECT/CT.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and adjunct medications as per protocol.
  • Ensure patient safety, radiation safety, and infection control compliance.
  • Prepare and position patients for procedures and explain exams clearly.
  • Perform equipment quality control and maintain imaging standards.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and medical staff to ensure accurate imaging and patient care.
  • Upload and manage patient images in PACS for physician review.

Requirements:

  • ARRT (N) or CNMT certification.
  • BLS (AHA only).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience.
  • Experience with Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT.

Additional Skills:

  • Ability to work independently and handle on-call responsibilities.
  • Strong communication and patient care skills.
  • Knowledge of PACS, EMR systems, and general computer applications.
