Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities::
- This role performs a variety of computed tomography (CT) procedures.
- Perform computed tomography techniques and examinations.
- Conducts a variety of computed tomography (CT) procedures including biopsies, cardiac CT, and post-processing.
- Produce computed tomography scans for diagnostic interpretation.
- Operate CT equipment and select technical factors and positioning/safety devices.
- Responsible for proper identification on images, including both identification and demographic information 100% of the time.
- Document all related data.
- Provide radiation protection for patients, families, staff, the general public and self.
- Other responsibilities.
- Identify, process, transfer and archive patient exams including exam records, images and patient demographics.
- Maintain the integrity and security of the radiology information systems.
- Resolve and escalate complex issues.
- Subject to on-call status including weekends and holidays.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or GED.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- OR -Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
Required Skills & Experience:
- Intermediate knowledge of computed tomography imaging.
- Intermediate knowledge of picture archiving and communication systems (PACS).
- Intermediate knowledge of radiology information systems.
- Intermediate knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
- Basic proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office) including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
