Job Description

Job Summary:

• The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides respiratory care to patients by assessing, monitoring, and treating cardiopulmonary conditions under physician supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Include monitoring vital signs and arterial blood gases, operating and maintaining respiratory therapy equipment such as ventilators and aerosol devices, assisting with medical procedures, and responding to emergencies including CPR and artificial respiration.
• The RRT also documents patient information, performs pulmonary function testing, communicates results to physicians, and educates patients on treatment procedures.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 1+ year of experience.
• Must demonstrate critical care knowledge as it relates to cardiopulmonary disease states.

Education: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Credential through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• OH state RRT active License
• NRP for NICU (Preferred)
