Job Description
Job Summary:
- An interventional radiology technologist will assists interventional radiologists with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures that use instruments to treat conditions in the body.
- They are responsible for operating and maintaining specialized imaging equipment, administering contrast dyes, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
Required Education:
- Associates degree from a Radiologic Technology program.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- Valid license as a radiologic technologist issued by NYSDOH.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
Advanced-Level Certification from ARRT to include one of the following:
- ARRT (CI) – Cardiac Interventional Radiology.
- ARRT (CV) – Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology.
- ARRT (VI) – Vascular Interventional Radiology.
Experience:
- Minimum one (1) year of experience using angiographic equipment, balloon angioplasty and stenting.
- Looking for 2 years of Interventional Radiology and Cath Lab experience.
Schedule Hours Per Week: 40.00
Schedule Hours Per Day: 8.00
Schedule Days Per Week: 5.00
