Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist interventional radiologists with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures using specialized equipment.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment.
- Administer contrast dyes.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
Education:
- Associate’s degree from a Radiologic Technology program – Required.
Licensure & Certifications:
- Valid license and current registration to practice Diagnostic Radiography as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the NYSDOH (may be obtained after offer) – Required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) – Required.
One (1) of the following advanced-level ARRT certifications – Required:
- ARRT (CI) – Cardiac Interventional Radiology.
- ARRT (CV) – Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology.
- ARRT (VI) – Vascular Interventional Radiology.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum one (1) year of experience using angiographic equipment, balloon angioplasty, and stenting – Required.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge in CT (Computerized Tomography) – Preferred.
