X- Ray Technologist

Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate knowledge of a variety of imaging equipment including setup, utilization, troubleshooting and proper care of all equipment.
• Produces diagnostic radiographic examinations by positioning patients, providing immobilization devices, and selecting proper technical factors based on individual patient needs.
• Restricts radiation beam through cone and collimating devices to prevent exposure to unaffected body parts.
• Performs portable x-ray examinations in patient rooms, operating rooms, and emergency rooms.
• Identifies patient films correctly with name, x-ray number, and side markers.
• Develops exposed x-ray films using available processing methods.
• Completes patient requisitions with required documentation.

Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of Accredited Radiography School.
• Completion of clinical and A.R.R.T. requirements.

Required Certifications & Licenses:

• NJ State RT License.
• ARRT(R).
• BLS – AHA.

Skills & Experience:

• Candidate with at a minimum of 18 months experience in their field.
• Experience with GE equipment.
• Must be comfortable in the OR.

Note: Non-Taxable Per Diem is provided to the qualified candidate living more than 50 miles from the facility.
