Job Summary:
- The Neurodiagnostic Technologist Level 1 performs standard and complex Neurodiagnostic procedures for patients with moderate supervision as directed according to established standards and practices.
Duties and Resposnibilities:
- Provides technical assistance and training to students.
- Completes all necessary documentation for departmental records and patient procedures.
- Supports all functions, goals, and objectives of the department as well as development of any new programs that involve the Neurodiagnostic Lab and Epilepsy Unit.
Education:
- High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
- Associate’s Degree in Electro neurodiagnostic Technology or equivalent.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
- AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
- Eligible for ABRET registration.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience. Must have both inpatient and outpatient EEG experience.
- Preferred: Familiarity with Client and Nihon Client systems.
- Patient Population:
- EMU
- ICU
- Pediatric and adult patients
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Demonstrates the ability to follow verbal instructions.
- Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing .
- Working knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft or Google productivity suite.
