Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate competence in delivering pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care, including patient assessment and emergency cardiac care (CPR required).
- Ensure all equipment is calibrated and properly maintained daily. Perform and record equipment maintenance and quality assurance monitoring. Troubleshoot and report any equipment issues to the appropriate supervisor.
- Generate ultrasound images of the heart and/or vascular-related structures.
- May be involved in staff training and education.
- Monitor and record patient information, maintain report storage and data systems, compile and enter data for charge entry, and prepare reports.
- Responsible for retrieving stored information and reports from the automated storage system.
- Prepare procedure room and equipment for daily use and ensure timely and efficient room preparation between procedures.
Required Skills & Experience:
- CPR certification is mandatory.
Education Requirements:
- An accredited Associate’s Degree in Sonography, Radiology, or a related field, OR completion of a twelve (12) month ultrasound program.
Certifications & Licensure:
- One of the following certifications is required: RDCS certified through ARDMS, or RCS, and RCCS certified through CCI.
