Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Description

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years exp required.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS
• RRT required.
• NC license required.
• Work Setting experience required: Adult Critical Care, ED, Peds.
• Previous Charge exp preferred.
• EPIC.
• L1 Trauma exp preferred.

Patient Pop:

• All ages.

Tools and Techniques:

• Extubation, Intubation Assist, Nasal airway placement, Nasal airway suctioning, Oral airway placement, Oropharyngeal suctioning, Sputum specimen collection, Tracheostomy suctioning.
• Bronchoscopy.
• Albuterol, Atrovent, Bicarbonate, Combivent, Flovent, Inhaled Flolan, Inhaled steroids, Mucomyst, Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, Spiriva, Terbutaline Sulfate, Xopenex.
• Aerosol set up mask and trach, Medihaler, Metered dose inhaler.
• Nebulizer: Cold, Handheld, Heated, Ultrasonic, T-piece, Trach collar.
• HFNC, BiPAP, CPAP, Nasal CPAP, troubleshooting high pressure alarms, weaning from mechincal ventilation.
• ABG interpretation, Basic EKG.
