Job Description
Job Summary:
- Under general supervision, responsible for cleaning, inspecting, assembling, packaging, disinfecting, and sterilizing surgical instruments and equipment.
- Supports inpatient, outpatient, operating room, emergency room, delivery room, and satellite departments.
- Monitors and documents sterilization processes (steam, ETO, Sterrad, and high-level disinfectants) and ensures compliance with standards.
- Prepares and manages case carts based on surgical needs and surgeon preference cards.
- Maintains inventory, stocks supplies, and ensures availability of instruments and equipment for procedures.
Required Education:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
Preferred Education:
- Completion of medical terminology course is preferred.
Required Certification & Licensure:
- Central Service Certification.
Preferred Certification & Licensure:
- BLS preferred.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Customer service skills.
