Job Description
Duties:
- The Central Sterile Processing Technician provides sterile products & instruments to all members of the health care team.
- Completion of an appropriate Aide training program, a Central Technician program or 6 months previous experience in Central Supply.
- Ability to read, write, add, subtract and read temperature gauges.
- Ability to exercise tact and discretion NICHSPDP Certification is required as a qualification for a CSP Tech position.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent education – Required
Certifications & Licenses:
- Central Supply/Sterile Processing Certification
- Certified Sterile Processor
- NICHSPDP
- Sterile Processing
Skills:
- Completion of an appropriate Aide training program, a Central Technician program or 6 months previous experience in Central Supply – Required
- Self-starter, good communication
- Certified in central sterile
- At least 6 months experience
- Will be working with SPM tracking system (Sterile Processing Microsystem)
