Sterile Processing Technician

Job Description

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a skilled Sterile Processing Technician to support surgical services by performing all aspects of sterile processing, including decontamination, preparation, packaging, and sterilization of surgical instruments and patient care equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
• Prepare case carts according to surgical schedule.
• Operate sterilizers and ensure proper documentation of cycles.
• Utilize instrument tracking systems (ABACUS/MICROSYSTEMS preferred).
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sterile processing area.
• Lift and transport heavy trays and carts as needed.
• Communicate effectively and work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• BLS.
• CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) or CBSPD require.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Familiarity with surgical instruments and patient care equipment.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform heavy lifting.
