Job Description:
- Inpatient Rehab department is made up of PT and OT.
- We provide coverage throughout the inpatient floors of the hospital.
- Patients seen include those ranging from birth through elderly age, can have varying impairments related to musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and post-surgical diagnoses.
- Average Patient Ratio or Patients seen in a shift: Goal productivity is 6 hours in an 8 hour day.
- Therapists usually manage a patient list of 8-15 patients, and are usually able to see between 7-9 patients.
Required Experience: 2+yrs as PT with at least 1 year in the acute care hospital environment
Required Certifications:Â MA PT licensure, CPR certification (AHA BLS healthcare provider)
Skill Level: Must be familiar with the acute care hospital setting, have excellent patient handling skills and transfer techniques, be a good communicator, comfortable working with other members of the health care team (i.e. nursing, MD, Case management), team player, strong time management skills, be self-directed, flexible and able to multitask.
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity in working with patients in a hospital setting, ICU experience would be an added bonus.
- Experience in working with diverse patient populations is also a plus. Experience with EPIC documentation is a plus.
