Job Description

Job Summary:

  • Responsible for radiological functions for special procedures and other interventional examinations.
  • Assists physicians in interventional procedures and provides diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients.
  • Administers and records isotope dosage in accordance with established departmental protocol.
  • Observes patients during procedure and reports abnormal activity.

Education:

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent required; completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

  • AART required, Current State/District license required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association required.
  • Active American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) license required.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Successful completion of a radiological program.
  • 2 years’ experience required.
  • Current state Radiation Quality Standards.

Other Requirements:

  • Must live 100 miles away.
