Job Description
Job Summary:
- Responsible for radiological functions for special procedures and other interventional examinations.
- Assists physicians in interventional procedures and provides diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients.
- Administers and records isotope dosage in accordance with established departmental protocol.
- Observes patients during procedure and reports abnormal activity.
Education:
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent required; completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- AART required, Current State/District license required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association required.
- Active American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) license required.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Successful completion of a radiological program.
- 2 years’ experience required.
- Current state Radiation Quality Standards.
Other Requirements:
- Must live 100 miles away.
