Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides assessment, treatment and education in the areas of independent living, community reintegration, functional cognitive retraining, upper extremity function, perceptual activities and assistive equipment and splinting/positioning mechanics.
  • Evaluates patients, schedules and establishes appropriate treatment goals, along with anticipated outcomes, and delivers skilled physical assessments and treatments effectively.
  • Delegates/supervises effectively within Product of authority to students, assistants and technicians.
  • Reassesses patient’s progress, revises treatment plan and modifies goals when appropriate.
  • Promotes mission, vision, and values of client Health, and abides by service behavior standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school is required.

Preferred Education:

  • Masters’ degree in Occupational Therapy is preferred.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

  • Current/valid state Occupational Therapist licensure is required.
  • BLS – American Heart Association.

Preferred Certifications & Licensure:

  • Certified Hand Therapist (CHT).
  • Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) endorsed by the American Heart Association.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • One (1) year related experience (preferably in a clinic setting) is required.
