Job Description

Job Summary:

• The MRI Technologist performs high-quality MRI examinations on hospital and ambulatory patients according to physician orders and established protocols.
• The technologist ensures patient safety, accurate imaging, proper documentation, and efficient workflow while maintaining MRI safety and regulatory standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform MRI procedures accurately and efficiently according to established protocols.
• Prepare, position, and assess patients before and during examinations.
• Screen patients for MRI safety and verify relevant medical documentation.
• Explain procedures clearly and help patients remain comfortable throughout the exam.
• Maintain proper infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and a clean, safe work environment.
• Document patient information and maintain imaging records accurately.
• Work effectively with Radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations and assist with patient care as needed.
• Maintain current knowledge and competencies across applicable patient age groups.
• Take call when required.

Certification & Licenses:

• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT – Required.
• BLS – AHA Only – Required.

Skills & Experience:

• MRI Technologist with 4+ years of experience and extensive Level I Trauma experience.
• Strong MRI safety knowledge.
• Excellent patient-care skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment.
