Job Description

Job Summary:

  • At the direction of a radiologist, the CT Technologist operates computed tomography (CT) and related equipment, performs CT studies according to prescribed protocols and radiation protection measures, reviews and archives images with associated patient data, interacts with imaging personnel, nursing and medical staff, patients, and visitors, and performs other assigned duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate computed tomography (CT) and related equipment.
  • Perform CT studies according to prescribed protocols and radiation protection guidelines.
  • Review CT images and archive images with associated patient data.
  • Interact with imaging personnel, nursing staff, medical staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Post high school completion of an ARRT-accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
  • 1–2 years of college/university coursework and/or an undergraduate degree in a healthcare-related field is preferred.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • ARRT Registered RT (R) in Diagnostic Radiology.
  • Current State of Wisconsin Radiographer License.
  • Advanced CT Certification required within 18 months of hire/transfer.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider or an AHA-approved equivalent required within three (3) months of hire.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum one (1) year of full-time equivalent clinical experience in Diagnostic Radiology.
  • Previous CT experience preferred.
  • Diagnostic Radiology, CT Experience.

Languages:

  • English (Read, Write, Speak).
