Job Description

Job Summary:

• The MRI Technologist performs MRI procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist to assist in diagnosing diseases and injuries.
• The role ensures high-quality imaging while maintaining patient safety, comfort, and compliance with established protocols.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality MRI scans as per protocol in a timely manner.
• Verify patient information and ensure correct imaging procedures.
• Prepare and position patients appropriately for imaging.
• Educate patients and ensure comfort during procedures.
• Follow all safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain imaging equipment and report any issues.
• Ensure accurate documentation and record maintenance.
• Screen patients for MRI safety compliance.
• Support inventory management and departmental workflow.

Certifications/Degree Requirements:

• BLS (AHA Only).
• MRT.
• ARRT (MR).

Experience / Top Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of MRI experience required.
• Client experience preferred.
• Epic EMR experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Strong MRI technical expertise.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent patient communication and care skills.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency procedures.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations professionally.

Work Setting:

• Clinic setting serving both inpatient & outpatient populations.
