Job Description
Job Summary:
- The Multispecialty Sonographer performs basic to advanced ultrasound procedures, which may include abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, cardiac, musculoskeletal, and small parts imaging.
- Responsible for obtaining high-quality diagnostic images and adapting exams based on clinical history and findings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform multi-specialty ultrasound procedures following established protocols.
- Identify abnormalities and adjust imaging techniques as needed.
- Prepare and position patients, obtain clinical history, and explain procedures.
- Assist physicians during ultrasound-guided procedures when required.
- Maintain accurate documentation in PACS and EMR systems.
- Ensure equipment quality checks and report malfunctions.
- Adhere to infection control and patient safety standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and imaging team to ensure quality patient care.
Certification / Licenses:
- RDMS.
- BLS (AHA Only).
Experience Required:
- Minimum 2 years of experience.
- Experience in OB and Abdominal required.
- RVT preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of sonographic principles and instrumentation.
- Ability to perform exams independently and efficiently.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology across multiple specialties.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency with imaging systems and documentation workflows.
