Job Description

Job Summary:

• The Central Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for providing sterile products and instruments to all members of the healthcare team.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Completion of one of the following:

• Appropriate Aide Training Program.
• Central Technician Program.
• Minimum of 6 months previous experience in Central Supply.

Certifications & Licensure:

• NICHSPDP Certification (required for CSP Technician position)

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience.

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to read and write.
• Basic math skills (addition and subtraction).
• Ability to read temperature gauges.
• Experience with sterilization equipment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Reliable, committed, and self-motivated.

Schedule Notes:

• Weekend shifts (if scheduled) will be Friday or Saturday night.
• One weekday off will be provided when a weekend shift is worked.
• Midnight shift with minimal supervision; must be able to operate independently.
