Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, high-quality, patient-centric diagnostic ultrasound services under general supervision.
- Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with ordered exams.
- Perform diagnostic studies using specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment per Product of practice.
- Communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams.
- Conduct post-procedure reviews to ensure completeness, documentation, and technical quality.
- Transfer images and data to archival systems and prepare studies for physician reporting.
- Perform operator-level quality control, cleaning, and high-level disinfection per guidelines.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development.
- Maintain accurate records and confidentiality; perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree or higher.
- Experience across inpatient, outpatient, and diagnostic care settings.
- Graduate of an accredited educational program in a primary cardiovascular or radiologic technology specialty (per ARDMS).
- Eligibility to meet ARDMS standards for the specialty required by the department.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association upon hire.
- Ability to apply principles of medical imaging, patient positioning, and medical ethics.
- Strong communication, teamwork, multitasking, and attention to detail skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and remain calm in stressful situations.
