Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe, high-quality, patient-centric diagnostic ultrasound services under general supervision.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with ordered exams.
  • Perform diagnostic studies using specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment per Product of practice.
  • Communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams.
  • Conduct post-procedure reviews to ensure completeness, documentation, and technical quality.
  • Transfer images and data to archival systems and prepare studies for physician reporting.
  • Perform operator-level quality control, cleaning, and high-level disinfection per guidelines.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development.
  • Maintain accurate records and confidentiality; perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree or higher.
  • Experience across inpatient, outpatient, and diagnostic care settings.
  • Graduate of an accredited educational program in a primary cardiovascular or radiologic technology specialty (per ARDMS).
  • Eligibility to meet ARDMS standards for the specialty required by the department.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association upon hire.
  • Ability to apply principles of medical imaging, patient positioning, and medical ethics.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, multitasking, and attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and remain calm in stressful situations.
