Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality imaging during a variety of interventional radiology procedures, including angiograms, biopsies, catheter placements, and stent placements.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure smooth workflow and optimal patient care during IR procedures.
- Operate imaging equipment, such as fluoroscopy, CT, and X-ray, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and answering any questions to help them feel comfortable and informed.
- Maintain patient records and document procedures accurately, including images, patient information, and any relevant data.
- Adhere to safety standards, radiation protection protocols, and infection control practices at all times.
- Assist in patient positioning, monitoring, and preparation in accordance with established IR protocols.
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on new technologies, techniques, and best practices in interventional radiology.
