Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Performs decontamination, sterilization and processing of equipment and supplies used during invasive and non-invasive procedures.
- May be assigned to different areas within the department with a variety of duties which require knowledge of sterile processing methods and strict adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Meet the needs of hospital departments sterile supply and instrument needs by performing a variety of service related activities, by maintaining basic sterile techniques and procedures.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of sterile processing experience with current certification required.
- High school diploma or equivalency – Required.
- Able to speak and write English Fluently.
- Demonstrated communication, organization and critical thinking skills.
- Current certification as Sterile Processing Technician – Required.
- Registration by the International Association of Central Service & Materials Management – Required.
