Surgical Technologist II

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• As a member of the healthcare team, collaborates with the surgical team to provide care for patients, ensuring patient goals are met and the hospital mission is upheld.
• Performs procedures in a variety of specialties requiring knowledge and skills.
• Demonstrates higher-level collaboration with peers in decision-making related to surgical patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education:

1. High School/GED and one of the following:

• Completion of a Surgical Technologist Program.
• Completion of a Military Training Program as an Operating Room Specialist.
• Completion of a Client’s sponsored Apprentice II Program.
• Ten or more years of experience as a Surgical Tech.

Licensure & Certifications:

• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Two years of full-time equivalent experience as a Surgical Technologist.

Schedule Days Per Week: 4.00
Schedule Hours Per Week: 40.00
