Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • At the direction of a radiologist or other providers, prepares patients and performs radiographic procedures and operates imaging equipment.
  • Performs studies according to protocol and radiation protection measures.
  • Provides effective communication and interaction with patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Accurately positions patients, selects technical factors, and ensures image quality with minimal repeats.
  • Completes image approval, PACS archiving, EPIC workflow documentation, and equipment troubleshooting.
  • Participates in shift rotations, mentoring, onboarding, and general support tasks.

Education:

  • Completion of an ARRT-accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • 1–2 years of additional college/university coursework or a healthcare-related degree.

Experience:

  • One year of current clinical experience in diagnostic radiology.
  • One year of current clinical experience OR clinical student experience.

Licensure & Certifications:

  • ARRT registered RT(R).
  • Current Wisconsin Radiographer license.
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Self-motivated.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to remain flexible during emergencies.
